The direct vision internal urethrotomy is a procedure of the surgery that is repair a strictured section of the urethra. The urethra is a thin tube, the urine passes through this thin tube from the bladder to outside of the body. The direct vision internal urethrotomy is one of the minimally aggressive endoscopic procedures of the surgery, in this procedure a minor cut is made in the strictured section to fix the unusually narrowing of the urethra.


The urethroplasty is a surgical procedure to repair of a urethral narrowed. This surgical process has several types and both types of the surgery are depends on the location, causes and size of the urethral narrowed.
The types of the surgery are:

  • Excision of the structured section of the urethra.
  • Excision of the narrow and reconnection with a graft.
  • Free graft technique

The mostly these surgeries takes time between 3 to 6 hours to complete.


The phimosis is a condition of the penis that foreskin cannot be fully pulled back over the glans penis. The head or glans of the penis covered by the skin, it is called foreskin.
